Batteri
Extrem räckvidd och batterisäkerhet
Batteriet i NEV är utvecklat för att klara långa resor i varierande klimat. Den tillgängliga kapaciteten är hela 26Ah (1100Wh) och tar dig mer än 100 kilometer på en enda laddning.
Battery Management System
Batteripacket innehåller elektronik som övervakar temperatur, kontinuerlig ström, spänning och laddningsprocessen. Vid händelse av ett fel så som t.ex. övertemperatur under laddning avbryts tillfälligt laddningen för att undvika skador eller brand.
BMS-systemet är alltid aktivt, oavsett om fordonet körs, laddas eller bara står parkerat. Det gör att du kan vara trygg.
Systemet kontrollerar även att batterinivån inte sjunker under den kritiska nivå vid vilken Lithium Ion-batterier tar skada om de förvaras under lång tid.
Förvaringsläge
Vid långvarig förvarning bör du aktivera förvarningsläge i din My Segem-app. Du förvarar då din NEV med laddaren inkopplad och systemet behåller automatiskt batteriets laddningsnivå omkring 40%, vilket är optimal nivå för att undvika batteriskador vid längre förvaring utan användning.
Felövervakning
Aktiva komponenter detekterar fel
Kritiska komponenter i NEV, så som gasreglage, bromshandtag och motorer rapporterar hela tiden en kontrollsignal till styrdatorn som på så sätt identiferar ett fel i de fall värdet på denna signal är oväntat, orimligt eller helt uyeblir. Vid händelse av exempelvis ett trasigt bromshandtag kommer NEV omedelbart varna och sänka farten om en resa pågår och skicka en pushnotis till din mobiltelefon.
Ridepilot™
Radar-powered traffic safety functions
NEV offers advanced active road safety and assistance features unique to this type of vehicle. The active functions assist by keeping a safe distance from the traffic ahead of you, signaling with the horn in the event of a near-collision, or notifying your contacts in the event of an accident.
Ridepilot™ uses a forward-facing radar to measure the distance, speed, and position of obstacles with an accuracy of 0.025 meters per second and has a field of view of up to 95 degrees.
Please note that Ridepilot™ features are not a substitute for attentive driving, nor can it detect all hazards and may fail to maintain a safe distance to various obstacles. It is always your responsibility to drive NEV safely, and do not rely on Ridepilot™.
Adaptive cruise control
Release the throttle at the desired cruising speed
Ridepilot™ continues to drive the vehicle at the current speed until an obstacle ahead is detected, traveling slower than NEV. The speed is adjusted to the level required to maintain a safe distance. When the obstacle disappears, the original speed is resumed.
You can configure this function in the app My Segem
Adaptive Cruise Control is automatically deactivated in the event of a collision or if you touch the thumb brake control or the emergency brake handle.

Collision warning
NEV can alert you via sound and graphics on the dashboard if a danger of collision is detected.
Depending on the configuration in your My Segem app, the speed can automatically be adjusted downwards to minimize the damage of a collision. The signal horn can be automatically activated in the event of a collision risk.
The function can detect the risk of collisions from up to 25 meters ahead in the direction of travel and with a 95-degree viewing angle.

NEV can send push notifications and camera pictures to your pre-designated contacts in case of a collision (iOS and Android devices supported).
Crash detection analyzes sensor data from the vehicle's accelerometer, wheel rotation, and control values.
The function can be configured to automatically signal intermittently with the horn to call for help in the event of an accident.

Ridepilot™ functions use forward-looking radar to measure the distance, speed, and position of road users, vehicles, and other obstacles ahead. The radar sensor has a range of up to 25 meters and an accuracy of 0.025 meters per second. Crash detection uses radar and a 6-axis accelerometer to measure G-force, vertical position, and sudden position changes. In addition, trip data from the ECU is used.

NEV was developed with continuous OTA improvements in mind. The hardware is built to support additions, enhancements, and performance upgrades as they become available over time.
Performance upgrade
Your vehicle will automatically adapt to local laws that may limit the permitted top speed when riding in your region. Through a performance upgrade, you can permanently remove this limitation.

Developement
In 2020, we started the R&D for the vehicle platform and electronics currently used in our rental vehicle, K19. What an excellent foundation to develop something even more extraordinary, we thought to ourselves!
Design
The design work for NEV started in the winter/spring of 2022 and was completed in the late summer of the same year.
Prototype production
Using MJF technology, traditional 3D manufacturing, and CNC, all the details that make up NEV have been manufactured, test-assembled, and corrected.
Production starts
The injection molding, die casting tooling, and other jigs needed to mass produce NEV are produced in this step. Details with perfect surface finish are made from the moulds. The vehicles are then assembled.

The high-precision GPS antenna allows you to follow your vehicle in real time via the map in your app. It will display the current position, altitude, and much more.
Camera with motion detection
Feature included
NEV detects if someone moves in the vehicle's immediate vicinity when it is parked. If an alert is triggered, you will immediately receive a push notification. You can view real-time camera images in your app.
The camera is also a resource for functions in Ridepilot™ crash detection.
Accelerometer
Feature included
If someone moves NEV while parked, a push notification is immediately sent to your smartphone. If the alarm function is turned on, a siren will sound, and you can view real-time camera images in your app.
The anti-theft functions are included as standard in all deliveries of NEVs. To enable remote access to camera images, push notifications, and other connected services, the vehicle must have an active internet connection via LTE Cat M1 or GSM. All new NEVs come with 24 months of included connectivity using a local mobile network in the region where NEV is used. Segem disclaims any responsibility for how the functions are used and their availability and also informs that the functions may fail to detect a theft attempt or fail to communicate the event if the vehicle is in an area without mobile coverage. It is the customer's responsibility to familiarize themselves with local laws and regulations relating to area surveillance with cameras, local privacy protection laws, and compatible legislation that may apply when using the security functions provided with NEV.
